So I'm really really sick right now. Being on the computer for too long strains my head really, and so does like, thinking up things n writing 'em. Basically I won't be rping for a while. Basically it sucks. I'll come on once in a while for the IC Battle Royale, but I won't be active in my discussions or the Mini-RP. (Continue that without me, btw.) You might be able to catch me on skype for a bit, while I'll only be on for about 20 minutes at a time when my head can handle it. Hopefully I'll be back and fully functional in about a week.

  3. Shadows of Chandur [OPEN Mini-RP]

[Night] When Haus left the Inn, the Sun was low in the sky, it's light barely grazing the treetops that lined the north end of town. He wore a set of light leather armour, with a hood of the same, dark colour. A small lantern hung at his hip, bouncing noisily as he walked. He gave James a lazy salute as he approached, to which the man let out on unceremonious grunt, shoving the rusted point of his lance towards the woods. Haus leaned against a crumbling wall, waiting for the rest of his group to arrive.

I'll probably make a character who was part of the royal family- but I don't think I'll give her one of the crown jewels just yet, just cause it seems a little OP. Also, would Evocation include elemental magic and stuff?

Haus smiled back at Aria, not his signature cocky smirk, but a sincere smile. Something about the cheerful, quiet girl had charmed him- he didn't see many people like her. Not in this town, at least. He nodded to Meis. "We'll wait until night, then. That gives us a few hours to kill." He said, smoothing back his hair. "Name's Haus, if you haven't already heard." Haus looked expectantly at the others, chiming in, "It's in our best interest to stay in a group-" He looked down at Marok, ruffling the boy's hair. "As long as y'all can keep up." Haus immediately swore under his breath. He hated the 'farmer's talk', but hadn't been able to keep it out of his vocabulary.

Haus placed a hand on his hip, which jutted slightly out of his skinny body. The shortage of food had taken it's toll on him- even if he preferred not to show it. "I appreciate your concern," Haus chuckled. "but I won't need any saving. I am the Haus, after all." He threw his head up triumphantly, his neatly placed hair bouncing from his head as he did. He whistled through his teeth, quickly forgetting his glorious display to pull out a comb fix his hair once more. Haus straightened up and cleared his throat, turning his head to the man in front of him. "Wolves, just outside the town. More of a nuisance than anything, howlin' all night." He answered, shrugging to himself with a smile. "I'd be happy to bring you along, though. What's your name?" He pointed a finger at the girl who was clinging to his side. "And what about her? Will she be coming along?" Haus questioned with a raised eyebrow.

A pixie cut. Also, it was about 4 inches past my shoulders, so pretty long. I donated it, too!

I cut my hair really short for the first time a few months ago! :0 It's very different haha, I kinda miss my long hair. But short hair is less of a hassle anyway, and a lot lighter. So I like it.

On the southern side of Nottingham, a boy sat on a slope covered in thick vegetation. He was looking at himself with a mirror in his left hand, arranging his hair with a comb in his right. Ever since the thunder clouds appeared, he may have been the only one, including the girls, who felt he could afford to take good care of his hair. But it was only natural to him. "Haus." A voice interrupted, causing him to pause mid-grooming. The voice was distorted and low, in a cold whisper at only Haus could hear. He groaned, reaching back to pull his great sword out of it's sheath, laying it on his lap. The sword shone green, even though there was little sunlight. The voice waited for no response. "Go to the square. Make yourself useful." Again, without a response, Haus sheathed the sword. He took off on the short walk to the town square. As the walked, the sword shook inside it's sheath, speaking again. "And one last thing, boy." The muffled voice cooed. "I'm hungry." Haus simply grunted in reply. Once he had arrived at the square, Haus skimmed over the noticeboard, only stopping as his eyes caught the word "handsomely". One of his favourite words. He barely took the time to read the rest of the parchment before rushing into the Inn. "Ko-te!" Haus called to the harried innkeeper. He strode forward, resting both hands on the pub counter. "How much for the heads 'a those wolves?"

Being a hand-bra doesn't seem that bad of a career choice. It has it's pros. And it's cons. Mostly pros though.

With Elyndriel's cloak removed, her robes were fully visible. It was obvious that she was a mage, as her robes flickered blue with an enchantment. "Are there any among you who's got enough backbone to clear out Wolfskull Cave with me? You're all proud Nords here; surely you can't be afraid of a little darkness, can you?!" She found some amusement in how well the vehement voice fit the man's appearance. She had seen many Nords like him, great and heavy-set, always swinging a stick of some kind. Elyndriel could never understand how they dealt with the cold so well. Thick skin, she supposed, but she envied it, as she still felt the cold's sting on her cheeks. The mage rose from her seat, careful not to further rouse the unconscious man adjacent to her. She paused as another man, who's quiet presence was unknown to her before, raised a lazy hand and accepted the challenge. "A little darkness is no matter-- when you can conjure light." She crowed, nodding them. "I'll join you."

In the courtyard of Proudspire Manor, a straw man becomes acquainted with the point of a training foil. It hits him relentlessly, impaling him countless times on it's blunted edge, though each strike lands far off from the target painted on his chest. At the end of the foil, a young woman huffs, her breath visible in the cool air. As she recovers from her lunge, falcon glides towards her, landing on her shoulder. It ruffles it's feathers dismissively at her frustration, and she lunges again. The falcon takes into the air, only to land once more as she recovers. They repeat this until the girl grows tired, laying her foil to rest with the others. The falcon did not belong to her originally; it was her father's. In this later years, the man had taken up falconry, as his adventures were over, and he was bored. There were fruits to her father's labor, however. In his relentless treasure-seeking, he was able to gather enough coin to purchase a manor in Solitude, where he raised his family. Elyndriel was her name. His first, and only child. She was such a willowy thing, barely fitting in her father's bulky shadow. She listened to her father's stories, dreaming of being an adventurer like him one day. As Elyndriel grew, her father continued his attempts at falconry. It seemed the rowdy bird had not taken to his training, and became more of a companion to the young girl. Elyndriel gave it the name "Mudcrab", because it's talons reminded her for mudcrab claws. Not as graceful as one would imagine, but it was fitting. Years passed the family by, as their leisurely life in Solitude continued. When Elyndriel had just finished growing, her father had given in to illness, losing his life. The Breton woman turned away from the courtyard. Most of her was concealed by a hooded, furred cloak, and a woolen scarf. Her eyes were visible, shining hazel in the dull evening. She was wearing a grey dress the ended just before her boots began. She stepped out of the courtyard, quickly making her way towards The Winking Skeever, the local inn. Thoughts of warm mead made her feel warmer already. She stopped at the entrance, and Mudcrab launched itself off of her shoulder, flying back towards the manor. After she entered the Inn, Elyndriel pulled down her hood and her scarf, releasing her long, light-brown hair, which pooled down her back and in front of her chest. She smiled as the warmth of hearth reached her, soothing her flushed and frost-bitten cheeks.

  21. "Skyrim, also known as the Old Kingdom or the Fatherland, was the first region of Tamriel settled by humans from the continent of Atmora: the hardy, brave, warlike Nords, whose descendants still occupy this rugged land." - Anonymous. This roleplay is based in the universe of the Elder Scrolls series. More specifically, the fifth installment, Skyrim. It takes place during the events of the game, which includes the dragons, the civil war, the Dragonborn, etc. The month is Sun's Dusk (November). We will begin in Solitude. "Solitude, is the capital city of both Haafingar, Skyrim, and the Imperial Legion in Skyrim. Ruled by the current Jarl Elisif the Fair, widow of the late High King Torygg, it is the headquarters of the Imperial Legion stationed in Skyrim. The Thalmor have an embassy hidden in the nearby mountain. Part of the reason for this is the eminently defensible nature of Solitude itself. Set upon a great stone arch that towers above the mouth of the Karth River, the city is surrounded by the soaring peaks of the nearby mountains. Solitude is both a reinforced and breathtaking stronghold." (From the ES Wiki.) It's also notable that Solitude houses the Bard's College. I'm a bit fuzzy on what the plot should be, but that will come with discussion! All I have so far is that our characters meet together in Solitude, gang together somehow and start adventuring. I'll set the cap at four or five people. It depends. Also please, I encourage you to discuss ideas in the thread. Ah, one last thing! I'm allowing werewolves and vampires in this rp, but there's a limit of one werewolf and one vampire. Also this probably goes without saying, but your character can not be the Dragonborn. They also can not be the leaders of any guilds. (Werewolf is taken!) P.S. Please tell me if I forgot anything Q.Q. I'm pretty rusty ahah. Skyrim Map

Since we have two warrior characters I'm going to be changing mine to a mage. More balanced, and more fitting to her character anyway. So ignore the aforementioned swordplay. Also I'd post tonight but I'm tiirreeddd. I'll get to it in the morning. :3c
