With his allies dead, it was up to Bones to take care of everyone in this inn, with the Swordmage being the first target. Bones shifted after her and used his Boneshard to try and pierce her armor, finally managed to strike through a chink. The attack did a high amount of damage and inflicted Valandra with a necrotic condition that would deal damage until she managed to shake it off.

[Roll 22 for attack and 9 for damage.

Valandra will take 7 damage at the start of each turn, until she manages to Save.]

The dastardly Bones was definitely a strong foe, Valandra could see that. The latest attack that he threw at her stung, causing her to flinch slightly as the poison entered her bloodstream. She snarled, activating a Healing Surge when she was bloodied to heal herself temporarily. At the same time, she used an immediate interrupt against his blow, Frost Backlash, sending powerful waves of energy off her longsword as she brought it down upon Bones with a loud crash.

"Fall before my blade, you foolish creature!" She boomed, following up her attack with another Frigid Blade that struck home, causing cold energy to emanate throughout Bones' body.

"WHOOPIE, NUMBSKULLS, YOU'RE NEXT," barked Bachydios with derision, even as Valandra struck Bones. He marched nearer near the pair and hit the bundle of bones with a follow-up attack. He fashioned the sparks of thunder as a whip and cracked it against the ground in front of him.

"COMBINATION ATTACK! LIGHTNING LASH!!!"

Dei panted, tired of running all around the room chasing enemies, now he had to run over to Bones again. And all for the sake of missing with his best attack.

The Jinx Shot Korrelia had fired caused several cracks to appear upon Bones' skeleton, indicating that it had been Bloodied, despite there not being any actual visible blood.

The creature got frustrated and ran passed Dei to the middle of the room, easily dodging Dei's Opportunity Attack. Once he had positioned himself in the middle of the group, Bones curled up before exploding back into an upright position. Several spikes protruded the creature's skeleton in each direction around him. Bachydios and Valandra's reflexes were enough to avoid getting hit, but the same could not be said for Dei and Korrelia.

Dei was bleeding and decided it was best to play it safe. He took a moment to defend and heal himself, before moving up next to Bones to help Valandra flank him.

Valandra moved up behind Bones, taking advantage of Dei's position to flank Bones and strike him from behind with another Frigid Blade. Unfortunately, despite the added bonus, her attack went wide.

"Did you miss? Well, think again." Korrelia winked as she waved her Dagger, glowing to activate Rhyme of the Blood-Seeking Blade. The Dagger shone with a red glow as she threw it at Bones.

And now it was her turn to take action. Bachydios wanted a clear field to strike Bones with an area attack, and so she helped with a Staggering Note to push the pile of bones 2 squares, away from Dei and Valandra.

Thanks to Korrelia's Staggering Note, Bachydios was now free to unleash his Daily Technique.

"UUUUUUUUUUULTIMATE TECHNIQUE…! YSERA'S DREAM!"

His Orb clouded with a purple haze, and simultaneously magical fumes leaked from the ground around Bones. It inflicted Slow on the creature and if it failed its first saving throw against the ailment, it will fall unconscious. To further stack the odds against it, Bachydio activated his Orb of Imposition to impose a penalty to its saving throws equal to his Wisdom modifier (4).

Bones moved towards Valandra, despite being slowed he was fast enough to reach her, and swung his scimitar, successfully striking a vital point and dealing a ton of damage. However, he failed to shake off the effect put on him by Bachydios and fell unconscious directly afterward.

[Crit Valandra for 18 damage.

With Bones having fallen down unconscious and completely vulnerable, Dei breathed a sigh of relief and moved over alongside him, intending to take full advantage of the situation, "Thanks, Bachy" Dei grinned.

He stood over the prone Bones and lined up his swords with the skeleton's neck, before hacking at it once, hard, with each sword. His magic Flaming Bastard Sword glowed in particular, bursting into flames that caught onto Bones as it struck him, setting him on fire.

Korrelia was a fighter and did not have many large damage-dealing moves. It didn't take much time to choose the best one for the job.

The irony was that Bones, when unconscious, didn't look much different from when he was conscious.

The crit significantly wounded Valandra, causing her to curse as she fell to one knee, using her sword to support her weight. It was a good thing that Bones had fallen unconscious this turn, or else things would have looked really bad for her. She raised the Frost Longsword, going for another Frigid Blade now that she had used up almost all of her Encounter and Daily spells. She also activated her blade's Daily ability to add another 1d8 damage to her strike, hoping that it will hit.

Satisfied that she had dealt a significant amount of damage, Valandra then retreated to a safe distance in the hopes that this would protect her from Bones' next attack.

Since Bones was asleep, there was no point yelling out his spell's name. Bachydios simply casted his Grasping Shadows silently.

After some struggles with Bones, the team finally managed to take care of him. By the time they left the inn to saw that most of the attacking Skeletons had been dealt with by the Imperial Guards. The captain who had previously ordered Valandra and Korrelia to take care of the inn forced them onto the first train off of the bluff and back to Adventurer’s Island.
