Go easy on them, Pain. They only listen to anime OSTs!

I do not. I listen to a ton of Japanese songs that aren't anime OSTs. Just cuz something is Japanese doesn't mean it must be related to anime!

That said, Breaking Benjamin plays my favourite kind of English songs.

Also, Get Your Body Beat is even creepier than Blue. >.<

As a kid I used to hate Trance, I always thought it was shitty music. It wasn't until I got older that I realized how fantastic it is.

Turns out that Tiësto was just a shitty DJ and I have no idea why he was considered the best DJ in the world for so long. Dude fucking sucks.

It's probably largely the video that does it but whatevs:

And even though its not in English I'm not providing the lyrics for Eth, for obvious reasons.

I had a lot of problems with today's theme, because I'm not much of a dancer, then inspiration hit me.

EXILE Pride ~Konna Sekai wo Aisuru Tame~ [EXILE]

EXILE is my favourite dance group, and they've got some amazing dancing together with great songs. Their songs make me bop about too. Lyrics are pretty shitty though. Guess we can't all be good at everything.

Get over the times before yesterday
These thoughts are supposed to connect
I pulled them in, these ties are ROCK PRIDE

To love this world
I’ll bet it all right now
I’m standing here now and forever

A new future
Even if you try to design it
Your worries will push you this way

Don’t you know that same
Image I had
Is better than a beautiful future
It’s so real this world
It’s not too sweet

Now I know how the pioneers felt
I’ll let this heart grow hotter

Get over the times before yesterday
These thoughts are supposed to connect
I pulled them in, these ties are ROCK PRIDE

To love this world
I’ll bet it all right now
I’m standing here now and forever

The past crumbles away
As I try to gather every piece of it
I’m sure these are fragments of the future

Walking down a path no one’s gone before
We’ll open up a new story

Get over the times before yesterday
These thoughts are supposed to connect
I pulled them in, these ties are ROCK PRIDE

To love this world
I’ll burn up the life I knew
You are my sunshine all the time

Even though you’re far away
These thoughts I send to you
Are true

In the gaps of time
This life has been brought up
Let’s shine

Get over the times before yesterday
These thoughts are supposed to connect
I pulled them in, these ties are ROCK PRIDE

To love this world
I’ll burn up the life I knew
You are my sunshine all the time

Get over the times before yesterday…
To love this world…

Day 6. A song that makes you want to dance

Lots of songs make me want to dance, but this one has A dance. It's so tacky and shitty I LOVE IT

People tell me I'm good at it? Which I don't get, because how can you be BAD at Gangnam Style? It's so simple lol

You can be bad at it if you don't look convincing! Like if you're doing it weakly. XD

Before I go to bed: Day 7, a song to drive to.

Not much to say. This song is relaxing. I like relaxing.

Calm is the opposite of what I like for driving. :(

I pretty much only listen to music in the car, so for me basically all of my songs are to drive to. So I'll just pick the most obviously driving-related one. Could not find a halfway decent quality upload on the youtube, so had to resort to dailymotion:

Driver's High - L'arc en Ciel

And if you're lazy to go off-site, I might as well throw a second easier one in:

That one actually was in one of the first S*T album projects, and was not a submission of mine but rather one I kept that I think Teal submitted. But it was back in 2010 so enough time has passed that I can reuse it here without it being repetitive.

The Actor [Michael Learns To Rock]

Since DayDay re-envisioned "songs to drive to" as "songs you listen to while driving" I shall continue on this theme. I was motivated to find a non-Japanese song after Seanzi's words (though it puzzles me that as a devout anime fan he can't tell the difference between anime and non-anime songs). Then I remembered songs I used to listen to a lot while in my father's car, back when I was very very young, like 5 or 6 years old. I loved Michael Learns To Rock. The CD had the 4 men on it and for the longest time I thought their names were "Michael", "Learns", "To" and "Rock". I knew it was ridiculous but it was better than not knowing their names at all. I liked "To" best. He had a nice smile. XD

After all these years, I still remember a lot of their songs. This is one of the memorable ones.

Pffft. I've fallen terribly behind, as usual.

Day 3. A song that reminds you of summertime
Ocean Avenue, Yellowcard

Aah, young love. :P

I'm not entirely sure why this reminds me of summertime, but it was the first thing I jumped to when I saw the prompt. Well, after scanning through my thousands of songs. It's definitely looking back on the past, and it's a very... unrestrained? sense of youth.

Day 4. A song that reminds you of someone you would rather forget about

I Hope You Dance, Lee Ann Womack

My first love... or so I thought. Probably a mixture my psychological problems confusing me and him sending me confusing signals because we were both very touchy-feely affectionate and in need of emotional teddy bears. In any case, this was his favorite song, and I also really liked it... but it doesn't stop me from feeling sad whenever I think about it.

Part 2/3 because you only get two videos per post. :P

Day 5. A song that needs to be played LOUD
1812 Overture, Tchaikovsky

Cannons. Nothing more needs to be said.

Day 6. A song that makes you want to dance

Apassionata, Secret Garden

Here comes my ballroom dancing! :P

This was my favorite song to practice the waltz with my partner. No particular reason, I just really liked it. I really need to find a new partner somewhere. >.>

Part 3/3. Done for now!

Day 7. A song to drive to

22, Taylor Swift

I like something pop-py and upbeat while I'm driving. Following on the heels of Fifteen, this is a more "mature" song that tends to fit my mindset at this current stage in my life, so it's fun to listen to while driving.
