There was absolutely no way for me to know that. Besides, even women are called sir in the army.

Actually, they're usually called "ma'am". And this isn't the army, or I'd have to call Timey and Eth "sir". *shiver*

I guess "albinotanuki" sounds more like a female username, though to be fair it's hard to tell.

I was in the air force but either way I was never referred to as sir nor did I ever see any army ladies being called sirs.

I thought tanukis were male. According to my limited knowledge of Japanese lore.

They do have massive balls, yes.

However, a dude would probably pick a big, scary spirit animal and end up with a name like....

"TimeDragon888".

That's certainly true. The 32nd Street Naval Base in San Diego had great food, as did the DFAC my barracks ate at during AIT on Ft. Sill.

But Guns & Rockets, another DFAC on Ft. Sill, pretty much resembled and tasted like lukewarm cat food.

San Diego was pretty great. Really the only complaint I had was that they were so flip-floppy about their clothes regulations.

My old base, MacDill used to be so horrible that only three of their items were for breakfast and the rest were for lunch/dinner. So you had a choice between stringy bacon or soggy fried chicken in the morning????
